We have been going to this place for a while, and we always get the extra large white chocolate mocha. Normally during the week we always get great service from a very nice young lady. Yesterday morning, a Saturday, we stopped by and they had a barista I have never met before because I usually only go during the week. The barista was rude when we ordered, and we didnt even get the correct order. We ordered and paid for extra large drinks and they didnt have any extra large cups so instead they gave us larges. I didnt receive any type of refund, although I paid for the extra larges. We also were given regular mochas instead of white ones, and while drinking it I sucked up a plastic wrapper through my straw. Needless to say we wont be back.
I have been here several times now and feel obligated to leave a review. First the coffee side, price for size is very fair and the coffee is real tasty. Moreover, the staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions. They also have snacks like bagels and burritos. Now onto the comic side. They have nearly all current runs as well as a good selection of back issues. Even some golden age goodies, they are fair about pricing and have some fun collectables. As on the coffee side, the customer service is great. Willing to help dig for the comics you want and have great suggestion for your individual interest. Overall, I like this place for all applicable reasons. If you havent been, go!
I called a little while ago and was hung up on, and when they did answer I was treated very poorly when I asked if there were employment opportunities there. I am a very passionate individual about comic books and comic book lore, dedicating a large portion of my life to comic books and the superhero genre, and was treated with no respect. I was walking to a job that I feel no real passion for and so I had decided that I had to look for a job that I would really love doing so I called Kapow and was convinced that I had looked in the wrong place.
Amazing place! Visited as I was down the street and needed to get some work done. I just have to comment on Meaghans comment on coffee knowledge. The staff knows their stuff. Traditionally a macchiato is an Italian word for "to mark" meaning a true barista marks an espresso shot with foam. It is a very small drink, hence the half full. With all do respect I am happy this isnt one of those giant stores that misinforms customers about what coffee is. Meaghan, perhaps you should brush up on real coffee!
Grabbed at coffee at the drive through and was extremely impressed! The service was friendly, the coffee delicious (I had a latte with almond milk), and the price incredibly reasonable. Most coffee shops are charging upwards of $5 a cup - I think my latte was only $3 here. Skip the corporate, overpriced places and support this small business!
Its a small intimate shop where you can get the latest issue of your favorite comic and a cup of coffee at the same time. The staff is super friendly and completely helpful in finding or ordering absolutely anything you want. Whenever Im looking for a new comic book they are always the place I go to First and usually the last.
This is a great place to have an espresso and get some work done! The tables are big enough to have your computer, books, and notes open, and fit your drink and one of their delicious pastries as well! Everything tastes great and the staff are incredibly friendly. I will definitely be back.
Everyone there is really cool and knowledgeable! If youre looking for a great place to eat (deli style), get coffee, and look through and buy new, back issue, and rare comics, this is your place! They also sell cool merch! Check them out!
Small but growing coffee shop/comic book store. Im a big fan of the staff, fun, enjoyable, nice people. The coffee is fine but the comic selection is a bit lacking. Overall Im excited to see how this place develops over time.
Great atmosphere, coffee, and business idea. Chill environment, independent (<3), gold, and silver age comics. This is also a surprisingly good place to network with professional nerds. 11/10 would (and do) recommend!
Comic book store was nice. Absolutely no coffee knowledge. Ordered a large macchiato and cup was only half full and was just a vanilla latte. Sad, was looking for a place the whole family could hang out.
This is an awesome place for people who love comics, and also love coffee. Amazing prices on the comics side of things! Highly recommended this nice shop to anyone looking into local comic book stores!
Nice little local coffee shop. The price is reasonable $5 for a large Carmel frapacino. It was very good and strong. The little comic shop inside is pretty cool. Lots of cool things to check out.
Coffee was good but dont expect much help from the comic section. The person working didnt even ask what kind of illustrations I liked nor took his face away from his own comic.
Location is the only problem I had with this comic book store. Great staff, very helpful with reading recommendations. Picked up a nice set of prints while I was there.
The people here are friendly and I can usually get my food fairly quickly. They also have some gluten free items, which I love. Not many small shops would offer that.
Very fun new place to hang out. Loved the red decor! The view of the front range is amazing! Get a cup and sit on the patio in the morning-you wont be disappointed!
Great place. Really clean. Good food and drinks. Awesome customer service and a large selection of comics new and old. Also a very organized selection of old comics.
Unique place, the Coffee was very good and strong. Large Menu and good prices compared to some other shops, clean bathrooms and friendly employees Ill go back!
Picked up some Superman and had a really tasty Latte. The hour I spent there was great. Totally relaxing, nice employees and well COMICS!!!! Need I say More?
Hands down the best comic book shop in the springs. Incredibly friendly staff, vast knowledge of comics, I feel like family when I go here.
Great coffee, it was hard to find the new comics, and the gentleman behind the counter wasnt the most polite, knowledgeable, or helpful
Great store, friendly people, coffee is made with love, and they have a great selection of comic stash! Whats not to love about kapow!
I LOVE coming here. Ive never had a bad experience here and all if the associates are always sweet just like their baked goods!
Black iced tea with peach added! KaPow! Really awesome, quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good selection. Ill be back.
Enthusiastic staff, great atmosphere, and a kid friendly environment. So glad to have KaPow in the neighborhood!
Food and service was great. Excellent collection of comics too. Try the breakfast burritos......yum
Very cute place. Fun atmosphere with cool art. The coffee was good and had a friendly staff.
Awesome place and very reasonable prices. Great customer service and good inventory.
Coffee was fantastic and loved the comic store in it. Will definitely be back.
Quiet place to talk, get coffee and look your favorite comics. Nostalgic.
Very friendly employees and they made sure I left impressed which I was
