Wish they had an additional button alongside - yes - or no - named "it depends" for the question: Would you recommend this store? We have real mixed feelings on what to provide in this review. We were about to write a scathing note to corporate regarding this store. If it was not for the fact that after all the mistakes, delays, misinformation, and inconvenience we had gone through on (04.14.2017), that they correctly decided to not charge us the $74.00 for a winter tire changeover, or we would have written that note to corporate. We had an appointment at 9:30 a.m. for the changeover, which we had also scheduled an alignment appoint right after at 11:00 a.m. at Brake Plus (great BTW). We dropped off the car - knowing that it would be tight after the time it took to get us "checked-in". We were called about 30 minutes later and told "Oh - your appointment really isnt until 4:00 p.m." so "could we wait until later?" Lots of discussion on the phone - with our viewpoint is we needed to stay as close to the original schedule as possible. In general - a lot of a** covering on their part. 4:00 p.m. really? We had even called that morning at 8:15 a.m. to confirm. Yep - 9:30 a.m. it was. We were firm and able to obtain the car at noonish - which was mostly in sync with the store closing from noon until 3:00 p.m. in observance of Good Friday (a policy I endorse BTW), but which still forced us to re-book the alignment appointment at Brakes Plus. More time lost etc. I need to add, about 2 years ago, after placing a special order for the tires I wanted, and waiting almost a month to get them, I was told the tires were in and to set up an appointment for installation. I made the appointment, went in, waited about an hour, and they came out and said "we cant find them - they were here yesterday". They gave me a suggestion for a set of tires that "were in-stock" that were equal or better. I reluctantly agreed and had them installed. I had already owned the tires I had ordered once - and knew how they handled, how noisy, and expected mileage. Well, after about 60 days of use it became obvious that the suggested tires were horrible. To their credit - they did reorder my original tires and they came in about a month later, and they exchanged them. So, the net of these stories is: They seem to foul up a lot. Three out of three times for us. Not quite up to snuff on keeping track of stuff, and not real concerned about things like they should be (keeping appointments). However, they seem to realize this, and will in fact make the correct adjustments to compensate. Having said that - it was still a real pain in the a** having to adjust our schedules etc. and does not leave one with a great feeling. Lost time and getting frustrated with them are not generally good things. I will say, their prices do seem fair (even very competitive), especially when big sales are offered, so I go back, hoping the lack of attention to detail has been solved. Unfortunately, as of the date of this review, it apparently has not. You may or may not have better luck. Was it worth $74 bucks? “It depends”.

UPDATE: I got a call from a manager from the store, Sieger. While on the phone, I took my own tire tread gauge and measured 7/32" on the front tires and 5/32" on the back tires. He speculated that someone had taken a bad reading of the tire depth which was why my wife previously had been told the tires were unsafe. Sieger invited me to bring the car back to the shop to look at the tires again. I was happy to hear from the shop. We were out of town for a while so I ended up bringing the car back about 5 weeks later. When my wife and I went to the shop today, we briefly spoke to Sieger. He seemed genuinely personable and was a nice guy. All four tires were replaced today because of weather damage, the cracking on the sidewalls. I have changed my mind about this location and will be back to this shop in the future. FIRST POST: So we bought the protection plan giving us free tire replacements if the tire were damaged beyond repair and giving us free rotations & balances for the life of the tires. My wife went in to the Castle Rock location for a rotation/balance and they told her that she needed new tires because of the wear on the tires. She told them "no" and asked them to please just balance and rotate the tires. The store refused stating that the tires were unsafe. My wife called me and I told her just to come home. When she got home, I checked the tread myself and she had 7/32" or more of tread left on each of her tires which is significantly more than the minimum tread of 2/32" required. We went to another Discount Tire on Colfax in Aurora, our usual location and asked that the tires be rotated and balanced there. After the rotation/balance, the manager came out and told me that he noticed some slight cracking/spider webbing of the sidewall rubber and stated that I should keep an eye on the rubber. I asked if we needed new tires but this manager at the Colfax store stated that the tires would be OK for at least another year. I thanked him for the advice and the tire rotation and left. We will not visit the Castle Rock Discount Tire for service or our new tire purchase when the time comes. We would rather drive the 30 miles to the Colfax location to get excellent service.

The sales guy was too busy talking his spiel to pay attention to the car we drove. He sent us off with our tire selection and then called and said it was done. He said it needed a rim which they didnt have in stock so we said order it. We came and the tires looked like monster truck tires on our little car. We drove them and they rubbed on the body work. We got a call from the manager who said they actually DID have the rim in stock and they put the wrong size tire on due to putting in the wrong model. *Note. I walked to the car with the guy, showed him, and told him verbally its a COROLLA. He still put in Camry...* So we went back and they gave us a discount on the rim and had them put the correct size on.. I sat there in the waiting area for probably 25-30 mins waiting for them after they said it was almost ready. I eventually came to the front and asked if it was done and they said, "Oh yeah! Its been done for a while." -_- I looked at the tires after getting home, which were the right size, but they didnt put on the siping which we had on the first, oversized set. Amazing. My wife took it back and had to practically force them to give us the siping which we already paid for. This was top 2 worst customer service experiences Ive had. Bunch of monkeys working there. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
