Great dress, garbage alterations. I had such a good experience buying my prom dress from Alfred Angelo back in 2010 that I absolutely knew I wanted to get my wedding dress from them, which I bought earlier this year. My dress came out to just under $1,200, alterations were an additional $350. For $1,500, youd think Id have a perfect wedding dress, right? Nope. I completely regret letting Olga touch my dress and wish I had gone elsewhere for alterations. Heres why: - During the initial tailoring appointment, she pinned up my shoulder straps. After telling her they were too tight and the shoulders felt fine as they were, she agreed and let them back down. When I got my dress back she had made the shoulders tighter! Nothing on the alterations contract I signed mentioned the shoulder alterations, so she just took in an arbitrary amount. I ended up with chafed shoulders on my wedding day. - She made my dress too short, and it shows in every. single. photo. I wore the same exact shoes to the fitting as I did during my wedding. When I brought up this concern, Olga stated that pulling down one of the fabric layers would fix this. (Nope, it was just too short). - There was too much fabric in the bust, which made the neckline cups bulge out. Olgas solution, instead of taking out fabric, was to create a permanent dark crease along the neckline. When I brought up this concern in person, I was again told that pulling down one of the layers inside of the dress would remove the crease. (Nope). When I mentioned the above concerns at the final fitting, Olga was short and dismissive, saying that they werent actually problems. I feel sick for leaving the store without pushing back more and having these issues addressed. What she did correctly: took in the sides and added a bustle. I called the store about a week after picking my dress up (mid-September) and was told someone would be in touch with me about the problems I had with the alterations. ...and I never heard back. Overall, I would recommend buying a dress from Alfred Angelo, just dont get it altered there.

Had a great experience until I actually made the downpayment for the dress ... after that, customer service was a thing of the past. When I called before my appointment to try on the dress I ordered to have them check that it came in as ordered, they acted like I was from another planet. Then when I chose shoes to be dyed in the color that matched my dress, they came in 6 weeks later in WHITE. After another day of confusion the manager called and told me that the shoes cant even be dyed in my color even though that is what they advertise about all the shoes - so they will match the "alfred angelo color" perfectly. She offered to refund my money, however this will be the third unnecessary trip to Tucson for me from the Phoenix area. I could have bought a new pair of shoes with all the gas money I spent if they had educated their employees enough to know which shoes they sell can and cannot be dyed. A sincere apology would have been appreciated but all I got was rudeness and snobbery. My dress has color right at the bottom near my feet and I wanted shoes to match, but dont trust somewhere else to just get close enough. Dont advertise that you can give someone matching shoes if you cant follow through with that promise. Educate your employees (and mangers) about your product and teach them a little customer service in the process. This process is very important to a bride - respect that! The future brides: go ahead and make the trip down there to try on the dresses and see what you want ... after that, go to an "Authorized Alfred Angelo" dealer (other bridal salon with multiple designers) to actually order your dress. It will probably even be a little bit cheaper and you will likely be able to trust them more and get better customer service. Oh, and dont even think about getting alterations done here, it will cost you about half the price of your dress!

Great experience! I was hesitant on trying on dresses here because it seemed so upscale compared to David’s Bridal. However, it looked it but the prices weren’t. As soon as I walked in, I felt important and the atmosphere was so clean, beautiful, and crisp. I felt like I was in the dressing studio for a princess. The environment and dressing rooms were so well kept and clean ( I stress on clean because many of the other places seemed so run down). My consultant was great and I had her all to myself. They do not double or triple book and they schedule appointments to last longer so there is no rushing. This was my first place that I tried on dresses and they set the bar high. Every place I continued to shop around at did not have the high standards that Alfred did. So when I went back right before closing and my consultant was gone for the night, the lady there helped me. I told her I had to try on the dress one more time and she did. She did not seem irritated or flustered that I had this last minute decision. I ended up purchasing my dress that night and I LOVE IT!

The single worst customer service imaginable! My girlfriend warned me about this place she too had a horrible experience with the help. Against my better judgement I went in because I had seen a gorgeous flower girl dress for my 7 year old to wear for a Sept 15 wedding date. I was told that I would be able to order the dress but that they could not guarantee arrival on time for the wedding.... OKAY, so who in their right mind would order a dress that may or may not arrive on time?? Then I was told that flower girl dresses could not be expedited, another road block! How about I buy the dress off the rack could I have you guys charge me extra and I could rush order a sash, NOPE, they could not do that either. The wedding is 11 weeks and 6 days away and you cannot get me a purple sash in that amount of time, what the??? The best part was that they would have to charge my credit card to check on the estimated time of arrival, are you kidding. Ladies, stay away from this place!!!

I had a 12:00 appointment with a lovely young lady who was just so much fun. She was infinitely patient with me and used all of the little things I said about each dress I tried on (15 in all...yikes!) to narrow it down to what turned out to be my dream dress. It had everything I wanted. She even went out of her way to find a dress in the color trim I wanted and clamped it on to the hem so I could get a better idea. I told her I didnt want a veil, but she told me to just try it on and I was hooked. I loved it. I never in a million years would have tried it if she didnt insist. She had fun with us and laughed and joked with me and my girls. We had a very good time and every photograph was full of laughter. The quality of the dresses was amazing and I couldnt believe how huge the selection was. They were absolutely amazing and I am so happy with my experience there. I would recommend Alfred Angelo - Tucson to any of my future Arizona brides!
